We sent in four wines to I CERTAMEN TOPWINE, and they all came home with medals. Our 2011 Chimera Riserva has come away with the top prize…GRAND ORO, while our Rosato, Leonardo Cabernet and Caletra all took home silver. It’s an understatement to say we are proud.
THE I CERTAMEN TOPWINE 2017 CEREMONY awarded 11 medals “GREAT GOLD”, the highest honor, to 11 wines of different Denominations of Origin, and one of those was our very own CHIMERA RISERVA 2011. It was also one of only two Italian wines to win the top honors.
There were 11 Great Gold medals, 55 Gold medals and 55 Silver medals, of which La Chimera had three Silver.
CERTAMEN TOPWINE, a new international mark for the wine sector, was held in Barcelona over 3 days. This year’s edition had a total of 492 references from more than 32 different denominations of origin. The organizers of the contest, as well as judges were thrilled with the quality of wine submissions. Only 30% of total references exceeding the 83 minimum required points were awarded with: Great Gold, Gold or Silver medals.
